Evanston Home Educators meets at 7:15 p.m. on the first Monday of
the month at
Trinity Lutheran Church Activities Center, 3637 Golf Road in Evanston
(NOTE: We meet the second Monday of September and there is no meeting in July.) Our meetings are designed for adults only; however, infants
are always welcome.
For those who are exploring the concept of homeschooling, who have
just made the decision to homeschool, or who are new to the area:
You do not need to be a member of EHE to come to our meetings. We host a
separate discussion circle from 7:15-8:00 for newcomers at each regular monthly meeting. You
are welcome to attend newcomer circles for as long as you feel like a newcomer.
We can cover the legalities of homeschooling, the range of homeschooling styles
and resources, the philosophy of homeschooling, what EHE has to offer, how to
get started, and answer individual questions.
Newcomer information is also available by contacting either Jen K. or Ann W.
We also host periodic "Newcomers' Teas", a more leisurely setting to discuss
your questions in more depth. Experienced homeschoolers share their stories and
